PRODUCTION LINE
Our farm produces two distinct varieties of Rainbow Trout, both raised according to natural standards.
Our NATURAL line features a white trout, with no artificial color additives in the feed, and is certified to IMO Swiss AG standards. This is the most commonly found variety of Rainbow Trout in the American market.
Our PATAGONIA line includes trout with color added to the feed, replicating the vibrant hues of wild rainbow trout from the rivers and lakes of Patagonia.
FARM
The combination between Lake Alicura's rapidly moving waters, ideal temperatures and low densitiy aquaculture create an optimal environment for raising natural rainbow trout.
PRODUCT
We strive for the freshness and authenticity of a line caught wild rainbow trout.
PROCESSING PLANT
Safe environmental practices, high quality infrastructure and a fully trained and stable staff allow us to operate responsibly within the boundaries of a National Park.
PROCESS
Our process begins in the pristine waters of Lago Alicura, where fresh, glacier-fed waters and clear skies provide an ideal environment for Manila’s aquaculture.
Environmental stewardship is a priority for us. We use only untreated nets in our cages, which are pressure-washed daily to maintain cleanliness and protect the ecosystem.
Our feed contains no antibiotics, added growth hormones, land animal by-products, or preservatives.
We harvest weekly, using bins filled with ice and water to rapidly lower the temperature to 2°C. The harvested product is then transported to our processing plant in company-owned vehicles.
Every aspect of our operations undergoes annual third-party audits by IMO (Switzerland), adheres to Whole Foods Market standards, and is fully traceable.
